Longstanding Brisbane nightclub Fridays has announced it will close its doors this Sunday after 40 years of trading in the CBD’s popular Eagle Street precinct.
Famous for its multiple bars, restaurant, cocktails, DJs and large outdoor area with river views, the club was popular as a weekend nightspot and function venue.
It long outlasted nearby City Rowers and that site’s successor Jade Buddha but on Monday, Fridays Riverside’s social media pages revealed in a post that the club would be closing this weekend, with May 24 the final night.
“After more than 40 years on the Brisbane riverfront, Fridays Riverside is saying goodbye,” the post read.
