Britain’s Got Talent judge, KSI, has been criticised by abuse campaigners after making a shocking ‘joke’ about a pregnant woman on his YouTube platform
YouTube star, KSI, has sparked outrage after making a shocking comment about pregnant women. The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 32, who boasts millions of followers on social media, made the ‘joke’ in an unearthed video, which has now been viewed more than 15million times.
In the clip, which has now been taken down, KSI was heard speaking to his mum about his sex life, when she advised her son – who was on BGT’s live semi-final on Saturday – to always wear a condom.
Responding, he quipped: “If she gets pregnant I’ll just punch the baby.” Mrs Olatunji then said: “No, you can’t say that.” Laughing, the influencer replied: “I’m kidding, I’m kidding, I’m not going to do that, Jesus.”
Abuse campaigners were furious following the crass comments, with Veronica Oakeshott, of domestic violence charity Women’s Aid, telling The Sun: “Comments like this are never acceptable to make, even if it is meant as a joke. It’s a sad truth that pregnant women are even more likely than other women to experience domestic abuse.
“Such ‘jokes’ make this kind of criminal behaviour, which women do experience, seem less serious, and indeed life-threatening, than it is.”
However, a source close to the former boxer said KSI regrets his “stupid and wrong” remark about hitting pregnant women. They also said: “The video dates back nearly a decade and like many people – as they have grown older – KSI looks back on that time with deep regret and recognises his language was both stupid and wrong.
“KSI has grown and matured significantly since then, and those words do not reflect whatsoever who he is today and the values he holds.”
It’s not the first time KSI – real name Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji – has been in hot water. In 2023 he apologised for a racial slur against people of South Asian origin. He later posted on X: “Lately I’ve been messing up a lot.”
The social media personality has an estimated net worth of approximately £80million as of early 2026. KSI also recently made headlines by acquiring a 20% minority stake in Dagenham & Redbridge, a club currently competing in the National League South.
His rise to fame began on YouTube in 2009, where he uploaded FIFA gameplay videos and commentary. His unique content attracted millions of subscribers, leading him to become one of the most influential YouTubers in the UK.
He is also a co-founding member of YouTube group the Sidemen, the co-founder of Misfits Boxing and co-owner of several businesses, including Prime Hydration and Lunchly. KSI has also served as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent since 2025.
The Mirror has contacted KSI’s reps and BGT for comment.
