Britney Spears is “healing” in rehab and her ex husband is glad she is seeking help as he continues to call out those he put her in a conservatorship before their wedding
Britney Spears is currently in rehab and her ex husband is pleased the star is getting help. The songstress checked herself into the facility after hitting “rock bottom” following her recent arrest.
The Baby One More Time singer, 44, is getting treated for substance abuse. In March she was arrested by California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence of “a combination of drugs and alcohol”. At the time of her arrest, a mystery substance was found in her car.
Now, as she seeks help, her ex husband, Sam Asghari, has revealed he is glad she is “healing”. He explained the star is doing well in the programme and hopes for nothing but good for her.

He told TMZ: “I think it’s great (she’s in rehab). I think anything that has anything to do with healing and great things and the person is in charge of that, then it’s all good.”
He words come after another recent chat with TMZ, in which he hit out on the conservatorship she was previously under, slamming it as a “bulls*** move”. He said: “They should never happen. They should be illegal to put anybody under the conservatorship and that was the worst thing to ever happen in this country.”
He went on: “In a country of freedom, that should never have happened. Especially to her.”
Britney and Sam were married for 14 months before splitting in August 2023. Sam has continued to be positive about their time together, but is thought to have been the one to file for divorce.
In March this year, Britney found herself in jail. Speaking of the incident, her manager told the Mirror: “This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable.
“Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law, and hopefully, this can be the first step in a long-overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life. Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.”
A source also told TMZ at the time that her rehab decision was made with her upcoming court date in mind. She is due in court on 4 May regarding her DUI charge.
The source explained that the singer, who previously struggled with alcohol and drugs such as ADHD medication Adderall, “knows strategically” that going to rehab “will look good in front of the judge” as it will prove she is “taking it seriously”.
They went on to claim that she had “hit rock bottom” after the arrest. However, it’s said her sons, Sean, 20, and Jayden, 19, have been “strongly supportive” of her decision to go to rehab.
The boys had been spending time with their mother and had been snapped on a boat before her arrest. They took to social media to share their happy memories of their time with the star.
