Things look a bit sketchy at times on Sunday, but the Denver Broncos actually did control most of the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The primary reason they were down 13-3 into the second half was due more to Denver beating themselves than Jacksonville controlling the game. Once Denver got out of their own way, they scored 17-unanswered and coasted to victory late in the fourth to avoid that 0-2 start.
It won’t get any easier against the Los Angeles Rams next week. It’ll be prime time again, but at least in Denver. That said, they’ll be underdogs even so. According to FanDuel, the Broncos are 2.5-point home underdogs on Sunday Night Football against the Rams in Week 3. The over/under stands at 44.5 for this matchup.

Why the Rams are 2.5-point favorites right now is beyond me. They got their butts handed to them every bit as badly in Week 1 as Denver did. They play the New York Giants on Monday Night Football and we’ll have to see if they turn things around then. That said, there is no reason they should be favored on the road against a team like Denver after the egg they laid themselves last week.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this line swings in Denver’s favor if the Rams stumble again tomorrow night. I’m just flabbergasted that its even in their favor now after the terrible game they played. I’ll have to see where the line moves after tomorrow and update this post then. For now, the Rams are favored over the Broncos.
