Brooklyn Beckham was just miles away from his parents on Elton John’s yacht but the family feud is showing no signs of coming to an end
Brooklyn Beckham has been relaxing on holiday with his godfather Elton John – but the Beckham family feud is showing no signs of thawing. The 27-year-old entrepreneur and his wife Nicola Peltz, 32, joined the music icon on his yacht in the South of France.
While they were enjoying a break together, Brooklyn’s parents David and Victoria were 75 miles away on their own yacht in St Tropez. But there was no sign of any reconnection with the family with Brooklyn staying firmly put on the Rocket Man’s vessel near Nice.
Images showed Brooklyn kicking back on the luxury yacht as Elton smiled in the sunshine. Nicola slipped into a lace white minidress for the trip, while Brooklyn wore denim shorts and a white T-shirt with a baseball cap on backwards.
Meanwhile, miles away former England captain David was seen with his arm around his son, Romeo as they enjoyed a family getaway.
Brooklyn and his parents not being on speaking terms hasn’t affected Elton’s relationship with the trio. David used to call the musician ‘Uncle Elton’ after becoming friends during his playing days.
But despite Elton being pally with them all, it didn’t appear he was ready to play mediator and it seems as thought the family feud has been running for a lot longer than first thought.
Brooklyn continues to shun any special occasion with his siblings or parents after his scathing rant on Instagram. The long message called out his mum’s actions on his wedding day.
But it now seems as thought the trio hadn’t been on speaking terms before the 2022 wedding. Reports claim that while the Beckhams put on a united front, things behind the scenes were far from united.
A source claimed things between the clan had been “intolerable” for the couple’s oldest child. Reports claim that the relationships were so strained that they broke down prior to the wedding.
The Daily Mail reports: “Indeed, relations had become so fraught between Brooklyn and his parents – because of tensions with his fiancée Nicola – that I can reveal that they weren’t actually on speaking terms for some three months before the young couple married in Palm Beach, in April 2022.
“And yet still the Beckhams smiled for the cameras there, and posted adoring posts on social media after the event.”
The comments come as Brooklyn called out his mum’s actions over his wife’s wedding dress. Nicola previously said of wearing a dress designed by Victoria: “I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realised that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress. She didn’t say ‘You can’t wear it’; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then they ran with that.”
Brooklyn claimed in his rant: “My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped.
“My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour, despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress. Weeks before our big day, my parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife, and our future children.”
