Brooklyn Beckham is reporting looking to his billionaire father-in-law Nelson Peltz for business advice as he remains in a feud with his parents, whom he dubbed ‘Brand Beckham’
Brooklyn Beckham is said to be looking to his billionaire father-in-law, Nelson Peltz, as a business guru. The 27-year-old is reportedly planning to build a business with his wife, Nicola Peltz, in what sources say is a bid to rival the empire built by ‘Brand Beckham’.
Brooklyn, the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham, started the year by releasing a lengthy statement, accusing his parents of using their family to further their brand. He called the family “Brand Beckham” to highlight what he felt were the materialistic motivations behind their visibility online.
He cut himself off from his family and insisted he was looking to live the rest of his life in “peace” with Nicola, his wife since 2022. But a source has claimed that Brooklyn hopes to achieve the same level of commercial success as his parents and to build his own business empire with Nicola, whose father is worth $ 1.6 billion.
Speaking to The Sun, the source said Brooklyn was hoping to learn from his father-in-law’s expertise and had already taken his advice on some business matters. They added: “[Nelson is] the one who suggested that Brooklyn’s best prospects probably lie in doing everyday products.”
They also said that Nelson advised Brooklyn on how to create a big enough brand that it “will be a logical step” to start creating restaurants. Brooklyn currently owns a hot sauce company called Cloud23, but has also dipped his toe into catering, having hosted a pop-up with Uber Eats in 2024.
The source insisted Brooklyn was “listening with open ears” as he is aware that he cannot turn to his parents for help. The Mirror went to Brooklyn’s representatives for comment.
Brooklyn has tried many careers so far in his life. Following in the footsteps of his footie legend dad, Brooklyn tried playing football and was part of Arsenal’s youth team, but left the sport when he did not receive a scholarship to their academy. He told Vogue that he felt too much pressure when playing the sport: “To try and live up to what my dad did in football, I was just like, that’s going to be a bit difficult.”
Brooklyn then turned to photography as a possible career path. He enrolled at Parsons School of Design in New York but left without finishing his schooling. He also released a photography book, but it was ridiculed, as many felt the pictures were too obscured to be seen properly, though Brooklyn claimed this was part of his style.
The eldest Beckham child also modelled for a time and landed a £1million contract with Superdry in 2021, but the campaign was short-lived, and he did not return for another one.
Since then, Brooklyn has seemed intent on making his cooking hobby a career. In addition to his hot sauce business and Uber Eats pop-up, the 27-year-old launched his own web series, Cookin’, and regularly posts cooking videos on his social media accounts.
But he has not sought to enhance his skills with a cooking class. He told The Times: “Unfortunately, I’ve never done, like, a cooking class, but I’m obsessed with watching MasterClass [online classes with experts in their field].”
