Brooklyn Beckham has made his return to social media and appeared to take a dig at his family by saying ‘it’s complicated’ after his sister Harper was seen outside his home

Brooklyn Beckham has spoken out after the drama surrounding his sister, Harper. Over the weekend, pictures emerged of Harper arriving at Brooklyn’s home, which he shares with Nicola Peltz-Beckham.

But while it appeared that the 14-year-old was extending an olive branch to her estranged sibling, things didn’t go to plan. Just hours after the Beckhams, minus Brooklyn, gathered to see Sir David, honoured with a star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Harper arrived at Brooklyn’s home, still wearing the outfit from the ceremony. Sources indicated Harper turned up “unannounced” and the move reportedly left Brooklyn feeling “uncomfortable”.

Any hopes that the family feud would end were soon shot down, as Harper didn’t enter Brooklyn’s home. Instead, he was in New York and posted a snap of himself out for a run in the Big Apple.

Although he had remained silent about the drama, he’s since taken to social media. In a paid DoorDash advertisement, he said: “You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home.

“It’s a long story,” he said, before the video displayed the caption: “It’s complicated. More soon.”

Fans, however, were quick to hit out at Brooklyn in the comment section, with one fuming: “Please don’t forget your family. Don’t forget that it was David Beckham who brought you to where you are today. You and your brothers — your father is a great man, and don’t forget your mother.”

Another added: “You knew what you was [sic] doing with this commercial.” A third asked: “I’m wondering why you’re refusing to speak to your parents?”

After the pictures of Harper emerged, a source claimed to The Sun: “Brooklyn and Nicola are aware that Harper visited their Los Angeles home. They have not responded. It felt like an orchestrated move by his family and made them feel uncomfortable.”

Hitting out at the images, a spokesperson for Brooklyn told Page Six: “That photographers were in place as the letter was hand-delivered says it all — this was choreographed for the cameras.”

This, however, angered sources close to Sir David and Victoria, who said the claims were “nasty allegations”. Speaking to the Daily Mail over the weekend, a source said: “It is incredibly sad that this horrible accusation is being levelled at an innocent young girl who just desperately misses her brother.

“Nothing needed to be said at all, so to invent this nasty accusation is really unnecessary.” Romeo later appeared to take a dig at his older brother several hours after the pictures emerged.

Sharing a snap of himself and Harper on Instagram, he said: “My favourite person ever @harperbeckham,” alongside a white heart emoji. Cruz also took to his own Instagram page to share images with his family, including a picture of himself and David drinking a shot at a restaurant.

Before the ceremony on Friday, David made it clear that he had no intention of discussing the rift with his son, who had previously instructed his family to contact him through his lawyers. Speaking to Variety, Sir David said: “To be honest, I’m sorry to stop you there, but that’s a private matter. That’s the one thing that I don’t want to talk about.”
