As the rift between Brooklyn and his famous family rages on, the aspiring chef watched England’s victory against Norway with his wife while the rest of the Beckhams reunited in Miami and posed for family snaps
While the Beckham family put on a united front to watch the England game in Miami last night, just a short plane ride away in New York was estranged son, Brooklyn.
As England soared to victory with a dramatic 2-1 win, David and Victoria posed for a series of happy pictures with their children, Romeo, Cruz and Harper that were shared on social media. Meanwhile Brooklyn chose to watch the game on TV with his wife Nicola Peltz in New York.
Alongside the picture, he wrote: “What a moment in Miami. I’m so proud of the team tonight reaching the semi-final of the World Cup and to celebrate with my family was so special. Thank you @england for giving our country these moments.”
In contrast, Victoria shared photographs from the evening, including loved-up snaps with her husband, writing: “Special moment tonight in Miami with my family and for our country.”
Cruz’s girlfriend Jackie Apostel also posted pictures from the family gathering as they celebrated England’s victory.
The latest family gathering comes as Brooklyn remains estranged from his parents and siblings following their widely reported family rift which exploded in January when he released a statement slamming his parents.
In recent months, the 27-year-old has been absent from a number of high-profile family occasions, with reports suggesting relations remain strained.
Just days before England’s victory, David and Victoria celebrated their wedding anniversary with heartfelt social media tributes, both referencing their “family” in their posts.
Victoria wrote: “After 27 years of marriage, four amazing children and countless matching outfits, you’re still my everything.”
David similarly described their children as the couple’s “proudest achievement”.
Despite the public messages, Brooklyn has kept his distance from family events, instead spending time with his wife Nicola Peltz and her family.
