BENGALURU: A pilot project of using Artificial Intelligence and robotics in early detection of water leakages, pipeline defects, water contamination and revenue losses, will be first undertaken in Bengaluru South division.
The pilot project launched by Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) being implemented in Bengaluru South would be completed in a year-and-a-half.
The project is being implemented at no financial cost to BWSSB with funding provided under Titan Company Limited’s Design Impact Award while the project has been taken-up by BWSSB in collaboration with SmartTerra, Solinas, Villgro Innovations Foundation and Titan Company Limited.
Using AI and robotics, the project will support BWSSB for underground pipeline inspections, real-time alerts and improved management of Non-Revenue Water (NRW).
