Helen George has given a rare insight into her life with her secret boyfriend, who died from leukaemia after just a short while of them being together

Call The Midwife star Helen George has opened about her romance with her secret boyfriend after revealing he sadly died with cancer.

A few weeks ago, Helen shared how her boyfriend has died after being diagnosed with leukaemia. Shortly before Helen travelled to the Bahamas to film the ITV show Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters she learned of her partner’s diagnosis.

She recalled how she had been dating him, with things “pretty serious from the start”. Admitting it was tough, she said: “It was really hard; I felt awful. I wanted to nurture and help and love and all the rest of it.

“He now comes through in my clairvoyance readings – he’s looking after me. He’s not very happy about the situation you’ve found yourself in. Everything he said about my situation was based in fact and truth and everything I was experiencing and feeling. I cried because it was so wonderful to think this person, whom I didn’t really know for that long, was there looking after me.”

She added: “He was so sad that he’d left his family and angry that he’d left me looking for someone else and then finding someone else who probably wasn’t suitable. He told me in no uncertain terms.”

In a new episode of her Mystic Mates podcast, Helen revealed she had invited the same clairvoyant to talk to her again and that was when the mystery man came through once more.

“First of all, she talked about my father’s mother coming through and very sort of familiar things. And then she was like, ‘Oh, yes, okay, in a minute,’ and started talking to this sort of thing in the room. And she was like, ‘Yeah, I’m sorry. I’m just… I wanna talk from her nan first.’ And then she said, ‘There’s this really impatient man that’s trying to get through to me. He wants to speak to you.’ And she said, ‘He’s a partner’, and it was him again,” she recalled.

“He came through, and he just said so much stuff. When he got diagnosed, I gave him a rose quartz – I give those to people when they’re not having a good time – and she said, ‘He wants to give you this rose quartz. Will you take it?’ And I never knew what happened to the rose quartz. I gave him a rose quartz, and I gave him some gloves and a hat for having chemo to keep him warm.”

Helen says she feels like he’s ‘wrapping himself’ around her and protecting her from where he is now.

“He gave me a rose quartz, and then she said, he’s just here, and he’s around you. Now he’s passed, he wants to put a blanket around you and look after you and know that he’s there, and you’ve got to stop doing this to yourself, the repeated patterns,” she said.

“She said, ‘He’s giving me a letter. I want to open it for you.’ He really loved his music when he passed, and she opened the letter, and in it she’s saying, ‘Unforgettable. She’s got to listen to Nat, Nat King Cole’s Unforgettable.'”
