Now, with the Internationals finally in front heading into Sunday (10.5-7.5), I think it’s just enough cushion to not only give them a bit of a head start but the confidence they need to realize they can actually do it. And if they do win? Then the Presidents Cup finally gets some much-needed juice.
Josh Sens, senior writer: This one’s going down to the wire, but I see the Internationals scraping out the 15.5 points they need for the Cup, with Nick Taylor and Si Woo Kim keying them down the stretch. That’s what any fan of this event should be hoping for, anyway. These events can’t just be one-way beatdowns all the time. Otherwise, why bother? Plus, is there anything more entertaining than the obligatory agonizing and second-guessing after an American team loses in an upset?
