Several glimpses of Kareena Kapoor and Mira Rajput’s chat on What Women Want have surfaced online, giving fans a glimpse of their conversation. For those unaware, Mira’s current husband, Shahid Kapoor, and Kareena began dating in 2004 and were together while working on the film Jab We Met.
Their relationship was not long-lasting, and they ended things soon after, in 2007, following four years of dating. While Shahid went on to tie the knot with Mira, Kareena married Saif Ali Khan. In one of the clips, Kareena can be heard telling Mira, “Everyone is very excited that you and I are sitting on this couch. We only talk about what women want.”
Kareena added that they would only talk about what women want. She then proceeded to question Mira about the silliest rumour she has heard or read about herself. To this, Mira said that she had heard quite a few rumours that she was going to have another child with Shahid. When Kareena asked her if there was any possibility of this, Mira quickly shut her down by saying that she and Shahid are done having kids.
Mira clearly did not hold the past that Kareena shared with her husband against her and praised her as a Bollywood star. However, Kareena had a different description of herself and said that she was actually a “wannabe Bollywood wife.”
Kareena and Mira also discussed relationships and expectations between husbands and wives. Mira revealed that many of her friends’ husbands ask her what they should buy for their wives. She said that she had a very simple solution for them, saying that they should make a list of everything they want at the beginning of the year. Kareena found Mira’s advice “quite cool” and said that she was definitely going to follow this.
In another clip that has surfaced online of Kareena and Mira’s chat, the latter opened up about how she and Shahid share parenting responsibilities at home. Mira explained that they have divided different aspects of raising their children between themselves. She said:
“I think it’s very important because one person can’t do everything. With us, at home, sports and diet are Shahid’s responsibility. Homework, birthday parties, classes, general behaviour. That’s with me. But if either of us is travelling, of course, the other one has to do it.”
