Jacoby Brissett’s holdout appears to be over — even without a new deal.
The Cardinals quarterback reported Monday for this week’s mandatory minicamp, according to multiple reports. Brissett held out throughout Arizona’s offseason program while looking for a reworked contract for the upcoming season.
Had he not shown up for minicamp practices, which are scheduled to take place Tuesday and Wednesday, Brissett would have been fined over $100,000 in accordance with the terms of the NFL’s collective bargaining agreement.
Brissett, 33, was absent for all three of the team’s OTAs this spring.
Brissett, expected to be Arizona’s starter this year, is looking for a restructured contract for this season. He’s in the second year of a two-year deal signed in March 2025, a contract that pays him $4.88 million, with the potential to increase to $5.39 million. Only $1.5 million is guaranteed in the current deal.
Unless a deal comes together very quickly at some point on Monday, Brissett will report without a redone deal in place. In May, ESPN reported that Brissett and the Cardinals remained “significantly” far apart in negotiations.

It’s been a busy offseason for the Cardinals’ QB room. Gardner Minshew II, who signed with Arizona in free agency, has a guaranteed $5.14 million for 2026. In March, Arizona released Kyler Murray, and the following month, it drafted Miami’s Carson Beck in the third round.
In 12 starts for Arizona last season, Brissett threw for 3,366 yards and 23 touchdowns against eight interceptions.
