Cat Deeley picked the perfect pair of everyday ballet flats for her Chelsea Flower Show outfit, and although they’re ‘buttery soft’ real leather, you can shop them for under £90
This week sees the return of Chelsea Flower Show, and celebs are out in force with their best floral outfits for the occasion. However one star who swapped the classic floral prints for a more pared-back look is Cat Deeley, who opted for a head-to-toe look in shades of cream and beige.
Her look was a masterclass in staying true to your personal style for every occasion, with the This Morning presenter wearing a tan suede mini skirt, cream jumper and cream coat for her outfit. She finished it off with accessories in co-ordinating neutral shades, with a pair of beige leather ballet flats and a raffia clutch bag, both of which hailed from Dune.

Her ballet flats especially caught our eye, as they’re the perfect piece to have in your wardrobe for any occasion. Her exact pair are the £89 Hetta Leather Ballet Flats, and Cat’s outfit proves they can look elevated enough for a dressy occasion, whilst still being understated enough to wear whilst running errands and smart enough for heading to the office – the ultimate does-it-all shoe.
The Hetta Leather Ballet Flats come in in four colours, including Cat’s camel shade, as well as blue, green and red. They’re made from a soft real leather material and are available in sizes three to eight, and have a slip-on style with a 1cm heel height which makes them elegant, comfortable and easy to wear.
They have a contemporary and timeless style too, so although they’re trending at the moment, the Leather Ballet Flats will never go out of style. You can easily wear them with midi dresses for events like weddings when you don’t want to commit to heels, or with a pair of tailored trousers and a shirt for the office. They’d also look great with some denim shorts and a vest top on holiday, proving just how versatile they are.
We found a similar style at H&M, with the Leather Ballet Flats currently on sale down from £64.99 to £55.25, although these feature a square, chisel-style toe which gives them a more modern look. Meanwhile at Massimo Dutti, the Soft Leather Ballet Flats With Gathered Detail are £99.95, with ruching details around the edge for a softer look and a butter yellow colourway. If you prefer to avoid real leather, New Look’s Faux Leather Square Toe Ballet Pumps are just £18.99 and made with the brand’s comfort features including cushioned padding, softer linings and flexible soles.
But whilst Dune’s Hetta Leather Ballet Flats are a new launch on the website, they’ve already gotten a five star rating from two reviews. One said: “Very high quality, buttery soft leather. Great cut too!”
Whilst the other wrote: “Good quality shoes.”
