New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has dismissed Class 12 student Vedant Shrivastava’s recent claims regarding irregularities in revaluation results, calling them “factually incorrect” and a “blatant lie.”
In an official statement, the board said Shrivastava had claimed in a social media post that his marks increased by only one in two subjects and that there was no increase in his Physics score. However, CBSE clarified that his Physics marks had actually increased by nine after re-evaluation.
The board further stated that 99.7 per cent of the applications received for Class 12 revaluation after the declaration of results have been processed. The remaining applications are in the final stages of review, and the results will be announced soon.
CBSE also noted that in 2025, the process of declaring revaluation results began on June 27 and concluded on July 11.
Earlier, Vedant Shrivastava had drawn attention after posting on X in May, alleging that his original Physics answer sheet had been swapped with another student’s, triggering an online debate over alleged irregularities in the evaluation of CBSE Class 12 answer sheets.
On June 21, CBSE announced the phased release of Class 12 verification and re-evaluation results, stating that more than 87 per cent of the total applications had already been processed. The board assured students that the remaining results would be released in phases and that the entire process would be completed soon.
