CCTV shows man allegedly kidnapped at gun-point in Sydney

A 43-year-old man allegedly pulled from a car and kidnapped in Sydney’s west has been released as police search for his attackers.

The man was pulled from a white ute on Coraki Road in Bass Hill about 10.30pm Tuesday.

A gun was allegedly used during the kidnapping, with a shot discharged as the victim was dragged into a Mercedes that sped from the scene.

CCTV footage from the scene shows two men climb out of the Mercedes and appear to hide, before a white ute with the kidnapped man inside pulls up.

One of the men then runs towards the car carrying what appears to be a gun.

The kidnapped man is dragged back to the Mercedes which then speeds away from the scene.

Police established about 10.45am Thursday that the man had since been released and taken to hospital for treatment.

Robbery and Serious Crime Squad detectives are investigating. A potential family link to an underworld crime figure is part of the investigation.
