Some of the stars of the forthcoming series of Celebrity Traitors are not happy with the headshots of them published ahead of the launch show.
The hit BBC game show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, will make its grand return to screens on October 1 and features a stellar line-up of names including Coronation Street legend Julie Hesmondhalgh, Little Mix star Leigh Anne Pinnock and singer James Blunt.
As part of the format, each player is photographed but some contestants are less than thrilled with the way theirs has turned out. Comedian Rob Beckett wrote: “I think there’s a traitor in the photoshop department…. what the f*** has happened to my face.”
Fellow contestant Maya Jama, best known for fronting Love Island, quickly weighed in as she brutally wrote in the comments section: “They did us all dirty tbh.”
Fans were also quick to react to the photos, as one told stand-up star Rob: “Remember SIMS. You were probably the SIM who built a swimming pool that it was impossible to get out of and therefore killed every swimmer.”
Another said: “You’re a Wizard Harry!”, whilst another posted a GIF of Daniel Radcliffe in his role as Harry Potter in the magical film series.
A third joked: “They’ve darkened your hair , reduced your teeth , goggled your eyes and widened your jaw …. were they p****d?” Another said: “Oh Rob, they’ve done you dirty there mate.”
Another asked: “How are you looking left, right and centre all at the same time?”
Rob’s best friend Romesh Ranganathan will be joining him in the castle and Weakest Link host Romesh recently addressed the topic of potentially having to act against someone he is so close to.
He said: “Well, it’s weird, isn’t it? Because Rob is one of my best friends, and we’ve worked together for a decade now, but I still won’t be able to trust it.
“I mean, he’s just as easily going to be on my side as he is going to twist the knife in my back given the opportunity. I mean, it’s completely unpredictable.”
Referring to their challenge-based TV show, he added: “So, it’s going to be a weird thing where normally when we’re doing Rob and Romesh Vs, we’ve got each other’s backs and are helping each other out.
“Whereas this time, he can’t be trusted. It can’t be the end of the relationship because it’s 0financially beneficial. But I think if it wasn’t financially beneficial, then it could be the end of the friendship.”
