Celina Jaitly is currently hogging the limelight for all things personal. On November 8, 2026, as the world was celebrating Diwali, the former actress missed her children. For the unversed, Celina is a mother of four children, Winston, Viraaj, Arthur and Shamsher, whom she shares with her estranged husband, Peter Haag.
Sadly, Shamsher took his last breath on September 11, 2017, just 24 hours after his birth. A while back, Celina took to her Instagram handle to pen a heartbreaking note.

A while back, Celina Jaitly took to her Instagram handle to share an adorable snap featuring her and her sons, Winston, Viraaj and Arthur. Along with the wholesome picture, the former actress penned a heart-wrenching note for her sons. In the note, Celina mentioned that she missed her sons. She said that her brightest Diwali was only with her sons. She expressed her grief as it was her second Diwali without her kids.
Currently, Winston, Viraaj and Arthur are living with their father, Peter Haag, in Austria. For the uninitiated, Peter and Celina are undergoing a high-profile divorce and legal battle across Austria and India. In her note, the former actress said that her sons have been the lights of her life. Recalling the moment when she was pregnant, Celina wrote:
“I remember those first little kicks, a gift on the eve of my birthday. I remember every samosa, every pani puri, every cake, every cinnamon roll, every ladi pav I made for you with so much love.”
In the same note, Celina admitted that it broke her heart when she thought that her sons, Winston, Viraaj and Arthur, had to pick sides due to her divorce. She then shared her greatest fear. The former actress wanted her children to know that she was left with no option but to protect whatever little she had left for their future. Celina added that she would always remain grateful to her estranged husband, Peter, for bringing the kids into this world with her. She wrote:
“My greatest fear is that you may forget your mother’s love amid everything you are being told. My prayer is that the pain & everything that tore our family apart never take away the kindness & light in your innocent hearts.”
Celina hoped that her children would think of her. She also hoped that they remember all the love and all the memories. She called her sons her home. She assured her children that nothing could ever erase the life they shared or the love she had given to them or the future they could have together. She added that it was her kids who gave her strength every day. She wrote:
“I miss you, my boys. My home, my arms & my love are always open to you.”
Celina has been very vocal about the love she has for her children. Every year in September, the former actress has to go through the same pain as she did when she lost her son, Shamsher, on September 11, 2017. Shamsher, who was one of the younger twins, born alongside his brother, Arthur, couldn’t survive due to a congenital heart condition.
Whether it was their birthdays or any special occasion, Celina never missed sending good wishes to her children. Her pregnancy journey was quite challenging. Back in 2021, on Mother’s Day, Celina revealed that she was diagnosed with gestational diabetes in both pregnancies due to twin baby hormones.
The former actress had to follow a strict diet throughout both pregnancies. In her second twin pregnancy, she literally lost the ability to walk due to the shock and had to be pushed in a wheelchair by her husband, Peter. At the time, Celina lost her dad.
