Flipkart’s Glam Up Fest 2026, a large-scale beauty and influencer event held at Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam, has come under scrutiny after videos showing attendees scrambling for gift hampers went viral on social media.
The two-day event, held on June 19 and 20, brought together more than 6,000 content creators and over 100 beauty brands. The festival featured celebrity appearances by actors Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor and was largely well received during its initial sessions.
However, controversy erupted during the distribution of gift hampers at the conclusion of the event. Viral videos showed crowds rushing toward stacks of goodie bags, with some attendees reportedly engaging in verbal altercations and pushing to secure the merchandise.
Several creators claimed that the hampers had been promised as part of barter collaborations in exchange for social media content. Many alleged that the stock was exhausted before all eligible participants could collect their gifts.
Attendees of the event criticized the lack of coordination during the gift hamper distribution process, with some alleging that event staff were unavailable to manage the crowd or address grievances. At the same time, several creators blamed the behaviour of attendees, arguing that the disorder was worsened by individuals attempting to collect multiple bags.
Despite the controversy, many participants reported positive experiences and said they received their hampers without any issues.
Flipkart has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
