Talk about a champion’s welcome.
When the Women’s Champions Classic returns to Barclays Center later this year, the spotlight will shine on some of the biggest stars in women’s college basketball. But one familiar face may steal the show without even stepping onto the court.
A special Breanna Stewart bobblehead will be handed out to celebrate the basketball icon’s championship excellence at UConn and beyond.
Fans who attend the Dec. 5 showcase — a doubleheader featuring Michigan against Oklahoma and UConn against Maryland — will receive the double-sided Stewie figurine, which should serve as a miniature reminder of a career loaded with hardware, highlights and history.
On one side, Stewart is wearing a white UConn jersey while holding an NCAA Tournament trophy. On the other, the three-time WNBA champion is donning her Liberty uniform with the 2024 title.

Stewart approved the bobblehead.
“I like it, but my hair’s a little dark,” she said. “But I was like, you know what? I just approved it.”
Stewart cemented herself as one of the greatest players in college basketball history when she led UConn to four consecutive national championships.
Her dominance has carried over to her professional career, where she continues to pile up championships and accolades as one of the league’s defining stars.
