After a World Cup flop, Christian Pulisic may be sparking a new romance.
The USMNT and AC Milan forward was spotted at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row on Broadway in Nashville with country singer and songwriter Megan Moroney.
Per Whiskey Riff, the bar shared a video as an Instagram Story on Monday where Pulisic and Moroney could be spotted sitting together in the outside VIP section, smiling and listening to music.
The sighting was not the first of the two together recently.
Pulisic took his cousin to see Moroney’s concert in Miami, Fla., as a part of her “Cloud 9” tour.
The trio posed for a photo together at the event, with Pulisic’s cousin seemingly wearing concert merch.
Pulisic and Moroney also both follow each other on Instagram.
The sightings have sparked dating rumors, however, Moroney told Cosmopolitan earlier in July that she is single.
“It’s really nice that this is one of the first tours I’ve been on where I’m not dating anyone, so I literally have no distractions,” she told the outlet. “And that sounds really silly, but there have been a lot of big moments and fun times that have been ruined by a guy for me. It’s nice to just have a clear head. I’m learning what I like and what I don’t like and what my goals are. It’s been cool to be so disciplined with my routines, to see what I’m capable of when everything is going like it’s supposed to.”
Yet, Moroney said things could be different once her tour ends on Oct. 1 in Belfast.
“There is something about having a crush that’s exciting, and when my tour wraps up in October, when I’m back from Europe, I’ll maybe be on the prowl again,” she added. “Yeah, it’ll be fall. It’ll be cuffing season, but right now, it’s been so nice to have my friends and family out [with me] and that not be an aspect of my life that is any sort of problem for me.”
Prior to the World Cup, where the U.S. had a disappointing Round of 16 exit after a 4-1 loss to Belgium, Pulisic ended things with ex-girlfriend Alexa Melton.
The former USC golfer posted a comment about the breakup on Instagram before adding “Mans was on Raya before it even ended” in a separate comment.
She later retracted the statement, saying she received “false info” and Pulisic is “not a cheater.”
“I only look at her in the most positive way,” Pulisic said about Melton in an interview published by Time in May. “She was a lot of fun, and she supported me in every way. She wanted to push me to enjoy my life a little bit more and do things with her and do things just in general. And I was grateful for that.”
Pulisic exited the knockout game in the 59th minute due to an injury, and walked away from his fourth World Cup with zero goals and one assist.
