The model revealed she and ex Paddy have reached an understanding about their respective love lives

Christine McGuinness has opened up about how ex-husband Paddy feels about her dating other people following the end of their marriage. The former couple announced their separation in 2022 after 15 years together and have continued living under the same roof while co-parenting their three children.

Christine, 38, has since spoken openly about her sexuality, revealing she has dated both men and women, while Paddy has also moved on following their split.

Now Christine has explained the boundaries the pair established around their respective love lives – and revealed they no longer feel the need to keep each other informed.

She said: “We spoke about this after we separated – what are we comfortable with, how much did we want to share – because neither of us wants to wake up and find the other on the front page of a newspaper.

“But it’s been three years now, I don’t need to know what he’s doing and he doesn’t need to know about me.

“It just stays outside the home.”

Despite exploring new relationships, Christine insisted there is no chance of her bringing somebody she is dating back to the family home she shares with Paddy.

“No way!” she told the Mail. “Even if I lived on my own it would be a long time before I took that step.

“I was messaging an amazing woman last year, and it took three months before I agreed to meet her for a date.”

Christine has previously said she doesn’t use dating apps, preferring to meet potential partners through friends because of her public profile.

She has been linked to women since separating from Paddy, including singer and footballer Chelcee Grimes, with the pair pictured kissing in 2022.

It was also recently reported that Christine had a fling with a well-known soap actress in 2023, although the actress has not been named.

While Christine is happy to discuss her own approach to dating, she has chosen not to speak publicly about Paddy’s romantic life.

The former Top Gear presenter has reportedly now found love again, marking his first relationship since his marriage to Christine ended.

However, Christine has ruled out walking down the aisle for a second time, despite saying she would like another committed relationship.

Asked whether she could ever marry again, she replied: “No.”

Explaining her decision, Christine said: “I don’t mean I’m traumatised by marriage; I was just so young then. I didn’t understand how you’re legally tied to someone if you’re married.

“I want to be in a committed relationship, but I want the freedom to walk away.”

Christine was just 19 when she met Paddy, who was 33 at the time, through a mutual friend in 2007. They married in 2011 and went on to welcome twins Leo and Penelope in 2013, followed by daughter Felicity in 2016.
