Hollywood film director Chuck Russell, who was behind classics like The Mask, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, and The Blob, has “died unexpectedly” at the age of 74

Hollywood film director Chuck Russell has died at the age of 74. The moviemaker was behind classics such as The Mask, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, and The Blob amongst a host of others.

But on Friday night, TMZ reported that he had “died unexpectedly” at his home in San Diego. The outlet also explained that the local fire department responded to a call to his home on Wednesday afternoon. The cause of death is currently unknown.

Chuck, who had Logan, Riley, and Carlyn with his ex-wife Patti Rio, had been married to actress Ania Zeyne since 2007, and it’s thought that the family are now travelling to his home to find out more.
