Ceasar, a dedicated member of the CISF dog squad at the airport for over eight years, officially retired on Monday, receiving a heartfelt farewell that included a ceremonial send-off.
Celebrating Ceasar’s Service
Ceasar, a male Labrador, completed his service after eight and a half years, during which he played a crucial role in maintaining airport security. CISF Deputy Inspector General Arun Singh praised Ceasar’s contributions, stating, “Dog squads at airports are a cornerstone for security protocols and are integral to every security drill we follow.”
The retirement ceremony featured a unique tribute where officials pulled an open-top vehicle with Ceasar seated inside, showering him with flowers. A cake was also cut to commemorate both Ceasar’s retirement and the induction of a new canine recruit into the squad, bringing the total number of dogs to nine.
