Harriet Cowan has found herself in high demand after appearing on Prime Video’s Clarkson’s Farm, but the TV star clearly has very specific taste when it comes to men
Clarkson’s Farm star Harriet Cowan has opened up on the qualities she likes in a man, two months after admitting she receives around 500 marriage proposals per day. The 25-year-old was already working as a nurse and influencer when she shot to stardom on series 4 of Jeremy Clarkson’s Prime Video series – stepping in temporarily to replace farmer, Kaleb Cooper.
Harriet, who has been in a relationship with another farmer, James Booth for several years after meeting him at Belper Young Farmers Club in her native Derbyshire, is no stranger to attention from male fans.
“I must get about a thousand DMs a day and probably 50 per cent are just men being like, ‘I wish I could marry you’.” she told the Telegraph in August.
Harriet added: “But it’s all fun and games. The other 50 per cent are young girls seeing me farming and thinking, ‘I’d like to do what she does’, and they’re who I do it for.” Clearly very particular in her taste, James is everything Harriet finds attractive.
She elaborated in an Instagram post on Saturday (October 10) in which she could be seen carrying out several Diddly Squat Farm duties, including delivering a baby lamb and operating a combine harvester.
“Stop the wedding,” she wrote in a caption. “If he isn’t covered in grease and oil and has dirt ingrained into his hands I don’t want the life!”
To sum up her post, Harriet could only settle down with a man who isn’t afraid to muck in and get their hands dirty. So it makes sense that she ended up with a farmer partner!
Writing in response to the Instagram video, one fan gushed: “A new fan here, just discovered you on Clarkson’s Farm… You and your like are a great advert for the UK… I wish you luck with all the hard work you do.”
A second person agreed: “I’m with you Harriet.” While a third said: “Hi from Australia. 61 years old Nan here – not only are you gorgeous you are so down to earth and refreshing.”
Last month, multi-talented Harriet celebrated the release of her first book, Life on the Farm.
“This book is so much more than farming,” she declared on Instagram at the time. “It’s about the long days, the early mornings, the animals, the mud, the machinery, the moments that make you laugh until you cry and the ones that simply break your heart.”
She went on: “It’s about nursing, farming, growing up, finding my feet, the people who have shaped me, and all the chaos that has somehow brought me to where I am today.“Writing it meant looking back at parts of my life I hadn’t thought about for years, sharing stories I never imagined I’d put on paper, and being more open than I probably ever expected to be.
“I wanted Life on the Farm to show the real side of this life – not just the pretty sunsets and cute calves, but the graft, the worry, the loss, the love and the absolute madness of it all.”
