Hyderabad: In a high-level review meeting focused on fast-tracking Telangana’s industrial growth, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday laid out an ambitious roadmap for the state’s upcoming “Future City” project, mega infrastructure initiatives, and investment strategies.

The review meeting, held at the MCRHRD Institute’s Bodhi Pavilion, was attended by Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu and top government bureaucrats.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the infrastructure being built in the flagship “Future City” project must match international standards. Setting a strict protocol for urban development, CM Reddy ordered officials to halt any land allocations until basic trunk infrastructure is fully developed on-site.

Furthermore, the CM directed the industries department to finalize an action plan to lay foundation stones for new industrial setups within the Future City Industrial Park by June.

In a bid to boost medical infrastructure, the Chief Minister stated that Telangana will aggressively lobby to bring the Central Government’s proposed Mega Health Cluster to the Future City. “If required, I am ready to personally meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi to submit a representation and secure this project for Telangana,” Reddy said.

To aggressively pitch the state to global firms, the Chief Minister proposed setting up a dedicated promotion cell named “Invest Telangana.” He suggested establishing a standalone office for this wing and exploring the appointment of senior Group-1 officers as dedicated “Escort Officers” to guide major investors smoothly through bureaucratic channels.

Additionally, Reddy instructed officials to thoroughly study the industrial policies of manufacturing and economic powerhouses like Gujarat and Tamil Nadu to adopt best practices.

In a major infrastructure update, the Chief Minister gave the green light to begin land acquisition for the proposed Bullet Train project passing through the state.

Shifting focus to the IT and tech sectors, the CM noted that the state’s next wave of growth should benefit smaller urban pockets. He ordered the drafting of a specialized policy to attract Global Capability Centers (GCCs) to Tier-2 cities across Telangana.

To ensure seamless digital governance, the CM set a strict three-month deadline for all government offices in the state to be integrated with the T-Fiber network.
