Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has appended his signature on the file meant to release Rs 56.39 crore to benefit 7,074 persons under Chief Minister’s Relief Fund here on Monday.
The CM has made it a practice to help the poor to mark any good occasion before getting ready for work for the day and earlier, he signed files to release funds under CMRF during Ugadi festival and also on the eve of New Year.
Similarly, to mark his birthday, CM took the Veda Asservachanam at his camp office and proceeded to the Anna Canteen along with his wife Bhuvaneswari at Patamata and had breakfast along with the beneficiaries.
Later, as he was proceeding to the Gannavaram airport by road, he signed on the file to release funds under CMRF, continuing the same practice of doing good to the poor people.
In the last 22 months, an amount of Rs 1,298.33 crore has been released to benefit 1,43,314 people under CMRF and no government had done it earlier to release such a huge amount of money for the poor.
