
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy extended his best wishes to students appearing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-UG (NEET) to be held on Sunday, urging them to approach the examination with confidence and without anxiety. The Chief Minister said students should trust the hard work and perseverance they have put in while preparing for one of the most important examination for admission to medical courses.
Around 72,956 candidates from Telangana are expected to appear for the examination at 208 centres across 24 cities in the state. Nationally, more than 22.74 lakh candidates will take the test at 5,440 centres. The earlier test was cancelled after it emerged that question papers had been leaked, leading to an outcry.
Revanth Reddy reminded students that the state government had already announced free travel in Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) buses for candidates appearing for the medical entrance examination. He advised students not to delay their travel plans and to reach examination centres well in advance. Candidates should follow all examination guidelines and write the test with a composed and focused mind, he said.
The Chief Minister expressed hope that students would achieve their goals and excel in their future careers. NEET is the national entrance examination for admission to undergraduate medical programmes, including MBBS, BDS and other allied health science courses across the country.
