HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) has proposed implementation of the ‘no bins–no trade’ initiative, making it mandatory for traders to maintain separate blue and green dustbins. A similar drive is underway in the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC).

CMC commissioner G. Srijana, who earlier served as GVMC commissioner, wants similar compliance in Cyberabad. On Monday, she inspected the extent of two‑bin usage among street vendors in her jurisdiction. She also visited Kakatiya Hills Park–1 (Road No. 4) and directed the development of shuttle and pickleball courts to enhance recreational facilities.

Meanwhile, as part of measures to control vector‑borne diseases, the CMC entomology staff visited 97 colonies. During the exercise, 264 mosquito breeding sources were identified. Anti‑larval treatment of water bodies was carried out using larvicides, and oil balls were released into stagnant water.
