Hyderabad:Dead flies, rat droppings, cockroach infestations, expired food items, use of synthetic food colours and unhygienic conditions were noticed during raids carried out by food safety teams of the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) at several locations. The teams issued improvement notices and directed managements to take corrective measures on priority.

At Kandlakoya’s Baisakhi Family Dhaba, inspectors found expired baby corn and black pepper masala, along with synthetic food colours used in Chinese dishes. FSSAI and trade licences were not displayed, medical fitness and pest control records were missing, and the kitchen was left open without protective mesh.
