MULUGU: The Mulugu district administration has intensified arrangements for Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s visit to the district on August 16, when he would offer special prayers to tribal deities Sammakka and Saralamma at Medaram and launch a pension programme for eligible widows and single women.
The Chief Minister would also inaugurate some development projects at the district headquarters.
Rural development minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka along with collector Borkade Sahadevrao and SP Sudhir Ramnath Kekan inspected development works near Gattamma, including a project pylon and the new integrated district offices complex.
Seethakka directed officials to speed up the pylon works without compromising on quality and complete them within the stipulated deadline.
Revanth Reddy will reach Medaram in the afternoon of August 16 and offer special prayers to Sammakka and Saralamma. He will subsequently launch the distribution of pensions to eligible widows and single women across the state.
Seethakka said applications received up to August 31 would be scrutinised and eligible beneficiaries selected according to the rules in force.
From Medaram, the CM would reach Mulugu and unveil a development pylon for HAM road projects being taken up by the Panchayat Raj department in three phases at an estimated cost of around Rs 16,000 crore. The project aims to improve road connectivity to villages and strengthen rural infrastructure.
Later, Revanth Reddy would unveil a statue of Telangana Thalli at the new collectorate and formally inaugurate the integrated district offices complex. He would also address a public meeting at the collectorate premises.
