Coalition Targets 100% Strike Rate In Local Body Polls

Speaking after the Bapatla Parliamentary Election Coordination Committee meeting at Tadigadapa, the ministers said coalition leaders and cadres should work without differences and focus on the victory of coalition candidates.

Housing, information and public relations Minister Parthasarathy said the coalition government had taken up several initiatives since 2024 in welfare, infrastructure, agriculture, employment and livelihood opportunities for youth. He called upon party leaders and workers to ensure that the benefits of government programmes reached every family.

The minister said the coalition parties had decided to face the elections with mutual coordination, with one party extending support to another wherever necessary. “Coalition unity, public support and the government’s development programmes are our major strengths,” he said.

He alleged that opposition parties had lost public confidence and said people would decide their political future in the coming elections. He also alleged that former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was resorting to protests involving rowdy-sheeters and ganja gangs and targeting teachers.

Revenue, stamps and registrations minister Anagani Satya Prasad called upon party cadres to coordinate at the grassroots level and work for the victory of coalition candidates. He said the meeting discussed the strategy for candidates contesting as councillors, corporators and other local representatives.

The government’s development and welfare programmes, from the village to the urban level, should be explained to people, he said, adding that leaders should study local conditions, remain in regular touch with residents and work towards resolving their problems.

Machilipatnam MP Vallabhaneni Balashowry and Telugu Desam MLA Vegesana Narendra Varma participated online, while BJP MLC Pothula Sunitha, MLA Madduluri Malkondaiah and other coalition leaders, in-charges and committee members attended the meeting.
