Coleen Rooney is notoriously careful about who she allows into her inner circle, but Annie Kilner is one of the chosen few, with the pair are said to have made a supportive “pact”.
Like Coleen, Annie – who is married to former England footballer Kyle Walker – has had her fair share of public humiliation at the hands of her husband.
“Both their partners have strayed and obviously Annie’s had very public infidelities to deal with,” a source claims. “Coleen can sympathise. They are kind of on the same wavelength. Coleen has the T-shirt and Annie has also gone through it.”

Annie, 33, who married Kyle in 2022 and is currently expecting their fifth child, was one of a tight clique of WAGs to attend Coleen’s recent 40th birthday bash, where the guest list included Abbey Clancy, Leanne Brown, Tanya Bardsley and Kaya Hall.
Given that Coleen battled former friend Rebekah Vardy in court over allegations Vardy’s account had leaked private stories to the press, only Coleen’s most trusted pals now make the cut.
The celebration – at the Rooneys’ £20 million Cheshire mansion – came less than two months after Wayne caused Coleen public embarrassment by partying in a Manchester hotel with two women.
In February, Coleen was said to be “livid” after Wayne was snapped with two mystery women in the bar of a Manchester hotel ahead of this year’s Brit Awards.
According to onlookers, the former England star, 40, appeared “worse for wear” and at one point “struggled to keep his trousers up” after a trip to the toilet.
Wayne’s boozy night out was the latest blow to hit Coleen, whose 17-year marriage to the ex-Manchester United striker has previously been rocked by cheating allegations.
A year ago, Annie’s marriage suffered a bump in the road after Kyle – who also has two children with reality star Lauryn Goodman – was snapped partying with two women.
To add insult to injury, the footballer’s escapades took place just hours after Annie and their four sons, Roman, Riaan, Reign and Rezon, had returned home from Italy, where Kyle was playing for AC Milan.
Kyle, 35, and Annie called off divorce proceedings last year, with Kyle previously admitting he’s made “idiot choices”.
Coleen and Annie have formed a tight bond and our source says they’ve now pledged to support one another through their respective turmoil.
“Annie’s been through it and Coleen’s been through it, so they’ve grown close,” claims our source. “Coleen very much reaches out to people who are going through a tough time, especially when she understands what they’re going through.
“It’s very difficult being in that football world and to know what it’s really like unless you’re in that bubble.”
Despite a source telling n ew that Coleen was “sick to the back teeth” of Wayne’s behaviour following reports of his night out at the Manchester hotel in February, our source claims the couple are now in “a very good place”.
“Coleen has got lots of television projects happening and they’re really looking forward to the future,” claims our source.
“Wayne really put a load of effort into the big 40th bash and Coleen really appreciates that.”
Annie also attended the International Women’s Day lunch at the Lowry Hotel in Salford last month alongside pal Coleen, and it appears their friendship is rock-solid.
