Collegium Clears 13 Names For Punjab-Haryana, AP High Courts

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court collegium has approved the appointment of 10 advocates as judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

The collegium, headed by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, in its meeting on May 4 cleared the names of Monica Chhibber Sharma, Harmeet Singh Deol, Puja Chopra, Sunish Bindlish, Navdeep Singh, Divya Sharma, Ravinder Malik, Pravindra Singh Chauhan, Rajesh Gaur and Minderjeet Yadav.

Pravindra Singh Chauhan is currently the Advocate General of Haryana, while Harmeet Singh Deol serves as Additional Advocate General of Punjab.

In a separate decision, the collegium also approved the appointment of three judicial officers as judges of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

The officers are Sunitha Gandham, Alapati Giridhar and Purushottam Kumar Chintalapudi.
