Jon Stewart is sticking around at Comedy Central through 2028.

The funnyman signed an extension to continue hosting “The Daily Show” every Monday and serving as executive producer through December 2028, Skydance Television announced Monday.

The deal keeps Stewart at the helm of the late-night franchise as the program enjoys a resurgence in ratings and social media viewership.

“The Daily Show” scored two Emmy wins this year and posted its strongest third-quarter audience numbers in eight years, according to Nielsen figures cited by the company.

Jon Stewart is shown in an undated promotional photo for “The Daily Show,” released Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024.

The program also racked up 1.9 billion views across its social media channels, making it the most-viewed cable program on social platforms in 2026, according to Skydance.

“Jon Stewart is a generational talent and The Daily Show continues to be one of the most influential franchises on television and a cornerstone of Comedy Central,” said George Cheeks, co-chair and chief content officer of Skydance TV.

“We are excited to continue our partnership with Jon and his award winning news team.”
