Jayden Daniels will be back on the gridiron for Sunday’s game against the Giants.
When asked about Daniels’ availability, offensive coordinator David Blough said that Washington quarterback is “full go” ahead of the Week 5 matchup.
“We’re looking forward to having him back,” Blough added, according to ESPN.
Daniels, 25, has been sidelined for the past two weeks after suffering an injury to his non-throwing elbow during the Commanders’ Week 2 loss to the Cowboys.
The injury — which came as Daniels braced a fall during the 37-20 loss — aggravated a previous dislocation to the same elbow that the QB endured last season.
Daniels, who was a full participant in practice Wednesday, will wear a black brace which keeps his elbow permanently bent slightly.
He will have to wear the brace for the remainder of the season, but Daniels said last week that it will not limit his play.
Daniels, who was selected by the Commanders with the No. 2 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, is looking for a bounce back year after his 2025 season was derailed with the elbow injury.
In his rookie season in 2024, Daniels threw for 3,568 passing yards and 25 touchdowns, earning him his first Pro Bowl appearance and Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.

The Commanders will be glad to bring back Daniels, as they currently sit at the bottom of the NFC East with a 1-3 record.
Despite the slow start, Washington head coach Dan Quinn said that he still “really believes” in his team, and noted how injuries have effected the team’s play.
“It is difficult to overcome some of the injuries, but I’m certain these are the right guys to battle and fight for it,” Quinn told reporters following Washington’s loss to the Cowboys. “And so I do think they are one of the more connected groups I’ve been around.
“That will be really important to move us forward as we’re heading into a big division game.”
