R&B minister BC Janardhan Reddy directed the officials to ensure completion of Mulapet, Machilipatnam and Ramayapatnam ports by the end of this year.
The TD coalition government is considering the port construction prestigiously, he said. The minister reviewed the progress of greenfield ports, shipping harbours at the Secretariat on Monday.
He asked the officials to bring issues, if any, during the construction to his notice for early resolution. The dredging works for the Mulapet port can be completed by expediting the rehabilitation works in Mulapet village. That would help in completing the port by the end of this year.
He also directed the officials to resolve the Salt land issue and expedite the road and railway construction, along with infrastructure works.
On Machilipatnam port, the minister said that the officials should align the railway line with the port and completion of electricity and drinking water facilities.
The dredging and rehabilitation of Ramayapatnam port should also be completed at the earliest, he told the officials.
The minister asked the officials to complete land acquisition and get forest clearances for the national highways, railway projects sanctioned to the state and ensure they are completed fast.
