It has been rumored for a while, and it was confirmed today: Konstantinos Kakaris, one of the best center-forwards of today, signed a contract with Ferencvaros.
Kakaris (27) has played for Olympiacos, Jug, and Pro Recco before arriving at Ferencvaros. Kakaris left Olympiacos for the first time in 2021 to join Jug. After two seasons at Jug, he moved to Pro Recco in 2023. After the club faced financial trouble in the summer of 2024, Kakaris returned to Olympiacos, where he played for two seasons.
He has won many domestic titles in Greece, Croatia and Italy. At major international competitions, Kakaris clinched two silver medals (the 2023 World Championships and the 2025 World Cup) and three bronze medals (the World Championships in 2022 and 2025 and at the 2026 European Championships), representing Greece.
Kakaris will join his fellow countryman, Stylianos Argyropoulos, who has been one of Ferencvaros’ key players in the last few seasons.
Spanish center-forward Miguel de Toro left Ferencvaros and joined Sabadell.
More about Ferencvaros’s 2026/27 roster to follow.
