Seven players are leaving Vasas; the club, which finished 5th in the Hungarian League, confirmed this today.

Among them are three foreign players: Montenegrin Bogdan Djurdjic, who played for Vasas for two years; Greek Angelos Foskolos; and Brazilian goalkeeper Joao Coimbra Fernandes, who both arrived last summer.

According to unofficial reports, Djurdjic may return to Budva, the club where he started playing water polo. Joao Pedro Coimbra has been linked with Jadran Herceg Novi, as we already reported. Sources indicate that Foskolos could return to Greece.

Kristof Varnai decided to retire at 31.

Domonkos Selley-Rauscher leaves Vasas after eight years spent at the club.

Lorinc Gabor and Tomas Csorba will not wear Vasas’s cap either.

Gabor and Selley-Rauscher won the Euro Cup with Vasas in 2023, coached by Slobodan Nikic, who also left the club. A few months ago, Vasas appointed Robert Kovacs as the head coach.
