Hyderabad:Residents of Sangareddy on Sunday watched the I.N.D.I.A. bloc’s ‘Chalo Delhi’ protest, organised by former MLA and party working president T. Jayaprakash ‘Jagga’ Reddy at the Ambedkar statue near the Old Bus Stand in the district headquarters. The event was screened for local party cadres, supporters and members of the public who could not travel by bus to Delhi, allowing them to follow the political developments together.
Jagga Reddy alleged that the BJP was involved in the “theft of votes” in the country. He said Rahul Gandhi was fighting to protect people’s right to vote and affirmed that the struggle would continue in support of the demand for Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation. He added that every Congress worker was stepping forward to stand by Rahul Gandhi.
Jagga Reddy said the sacrifices made by Rahul Gandhi’s family for the nation could never be forgotten. He said he wanted a return to the kind of governance seen during Indira Gandhi’s tenure, when the poor could live happily. He asserted that Rahul Gandhi becoming Prime Minister was essential for young people, women and farmers to lead happy lives and for the security of the people. He called on party workers to continue their struggle until that goal was achieved.
