Tina O’Brien has been through the ringer romantically over the past couple years, as she went from ending her marriage with Adam Crofts to dating Adam Fadle and now new beau Rory Martin
Coronation Street star Tina O’Brien appears to have found happiness once again after being seen kissing her new boyfriend just months after the end of her most recent relationship.
The actress, who is best known for playing Sarah Platt on the ITV soap, has now been photographed looking loved-up with social media personality and paramedic Rory Martin in Cheshire.
This is her latest venture of the heart after a series of relationships that have played out in the public eye, with mixed results. The new couple were spotted in a passionate embrace, and Rory went on the wrap his arm around Tina’s shoulders as they walked down the street.
Rory is originally from Ireland, and has built a sizeable online following with videos where he shows off his aptitude for singing, playing guitar, and golf. He also publicly documents moments from his work as a paramedic.
This new romance comes hot on the heels of Tina’s split from her millionaire ex boyfriend Adam Fadle. The pair reportedly started dating in the summer of 2025 and made their public debut at fellow Corrie star Jack P Shepherd’s wedding in July.
However, their relationship was short-lived. Anonymous sources close to Tina claimed she decided to end things with Adam after realising the relationship “wasn’t going anywhere”.
Friends suggested Adam was shocked by her decision, and had believed there was genuine long-term potential between them. By November, Tina had removed all traces of Adam from her social media account, including snaps of a romantic trip they went on to Greece.
Tina’s relationship with Adam had also begun just months after the breakdown of her marriage with personal trainer Adam Crofts. Tina and Adam Crofts first met in a coffee shop in Manchester in 2011.
They had had their son Beau together three years later, before then tying the knot in a surprise New Year’s Eve ceremony another four years down the line, in 2018.
The couple were together for over a decade before reports emerged that they had separated after going through a stressful period while moving house.
Sources claimed the pair had simply grown apart, but were still committed to co-parenting their son amicably. Tina’s marriage was a period of romantic stability for the actress after a very tempestuous high-profile romance with her Corrie co-star Ryan Thomas.
Tina started off by dating his on-screen brother, Bruno Langley, who played Todd Grimshaw, before moving on to Ryan. In 2007 the soap star admitted she was nervous about upsetting her former boyfriend at the time, telling The Mirror : “It was five months later when I got together with Ryan and I was worried about it as he’s a friend of Bruno. But we worked hard to make sure there wasn’t any tension between the three of us.”
Tina and Ryan had a daughter, Scarlett, in 2008, but their six-year relationship ended shortly afterwards under painful circumstances. The actress later revealed she was completely heartbroken when Ryan ended things with her one week before Scarlett’s first birthday.
She sadly told new! magazine: “He said he didn’t love me any more. He said I didn’t do it for him any more. Those were his words. He said he didn’t want the responsibility of a relationship with me.”
The pair have had a difficult co-parenting relationship. Tina took aim at her ex on social media in 2019 when Ryan announced he was expecting a baby with his new partner Lucy Mecklenburgh, and Tina’s daughter Scarlett burst into tears.
Ryan insisted his daughter was crying “happy tears”, but Tina quickly set the record straight among her fans with cryptic posts, writing: “Don’t always trust what you see on social media. Even salt looks like sugar.”
She deleted that post but then followed up with another, saying: “Don’t waste your time with explanations. People will hear what they want to hear.”
The former couple faced an even bigger incident in 2022, when Tina allegedly smashed the wing mirror of Ryan’s Range Rover with a baseball bat after they got into an explosive argument.
Tina is said to have left a friend’s party to confront Ryan, and after their showdown allegedly attacked his vehicle, chipping the paintwork and leaving the wing mirror “smashed off”.
After her series of public heartbreaks, the former Corrie star seems delighted to be partnered up with her new beau, Rory, who she was visibly excited to see in Cheshire this week.
