Cringe footage showed the moment a Chinese hotel worker inadvertently plunged into a pool while rushing forward with two suitcases in the rain.
The porter apparently confused the pool with slick pavement as he carried the luggage in each hand through the rain last week, according to video obtained by AsiaWire.
The video posted on social media showed the unsuspecting man walk straight into the pool, where he was soaked from head to toe at the Yangshuo County hotel near the tourist city of Guilin.
Bystanders with umbrellas rushed to help the worker as he climbed out of the pool that was only four feet deep and had swimming tubes floating in the corner.
The man suffered no injuries, though it’s unclear if the luggage was ruined, local media reportedly said.
Hotel staff claimed the worker was in a rush during the embarrassing moment, while the hotel claimed there were warning notices around the pool.
