HYDERABAD: As part of Cyber Security Month observed globally in October, the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) has invited citizens to join a 2 km Night Walk against cyber fraud. TGCSB director Shikha Goel said the campaign, themed “Digital Safety for Families”, begins with “Cyber Security Flash – Pause for Safety”, a walk at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road, Hyderabad, on October 1 at 5 pm. Participants are encouraged to switch on their mobile flashlights to symbolise vigilance, to create, a statement said, a collective display of light symbolising awareness and vigilance against cyber fraud.
The initiative, under the slogan “Hyderabad Hits Pause – Walk. Pause. Light up against cyber fraud”, will mark the launch of month‑long awareness activities across Telangana. Citizens from all sections, including students, families, professionals and senior citizens, are expected to join. TGCSB aims to spread the message “Pause. Think. Verify” into homes, institutions and workplaces through October, Goel said.
