Daniel Franzese Looks Different In Then-And-Now Pics After Weight Loss, Said Ozempic Wasn't 'Best'

Mean Girls star, Daniel Franzese looks a lot different now. The actor grabbed attention with his role as ‘Damian Leigh’ in the much-loved comedy. The role brought him widespread attention for his comic timing and catchphrases like ‘too gay to function’. Before that, he was seen in Bully and Party Time. Daniel went on to win hearts with his projects, including television ones such as Looking, Road, and Conviction.

Apart from his acting career, Daniel also built a strong resume as a stand-up comedian. It was on October 8, 2026, when Daniel took to his social media handle and shared a series of photos in which he could be seen looking totally different from his former self. The reason? It was his drastic weight loss. His followers have been showering him with priase, calling him an inspiration.

Daniel Franzese looks totally different, having lost 135 lbs; how did he do it?

Some might ask whether Daniel opted for Ozempic for weight loss. But it’s not the case. In an interview with TMZ last year, Daniel shared that he had tried Ozempic, but it was not the best fit for his body.

So, for those asking how Daniel changed his entire appearance with drastic weight loss, it’s pure dedication to a healthier lifestyle. Daniel posted shirtless photos of himself, stating that it took him three years to reach where he is now. Daniel lost 135 lbs, which is reportedly 61 kg, or nine stone and nine pounds.

While the stand-up comedian didn’t go into detail about his diet and training program, he revealed that he made several changes in his lifestyle, including cutting sugar and alcohol completely and working out four or more days a week. The photos came after Daniel talked about a medical scare that he faced, where he almost passed out while performing. Speaking to the Daily Mail, Daniel mentioned that he understood it was not healthy to do a show with 30 minutes of sleep and no food.

Sharing what happened, Daniel mentioned that he started feeling lightheaded and his vision started to get blurry. He was performing in front of some of the best comedians in the world and didn’t want to pass out on the stage. And thus, he went backstage; after putting some water on his face, he was completely fine.

Daniel shared his medical scare in detail as a reminder for others that people should start taking care of themselves, as it happens that it’s taken for granted, which shouldn’t be done. The actor could be quoted as saying:

“Turns out doing stand-up on 30 minutes of sleep with no food or water is not the wellness journey I thought it was. Suddenly got lightheaded and my vision started flashing. I thought, ‘Passing out in front of Jay Leno would be a little thirsty, even for me,’ so I got offstage before I became the evening’s surprise finale.”

Daniel Franzese talked about being overweight

For Daniel Franzese, being overweight was a tag that he had dealt with since his childhood. Speaking to Attitude.Co.Uk, the actor revealed that he was an oversensitive kid, and thus, being called ‘fat’ or ‘big guy ‘ would turn his face red, and he had to ‘hold back tears’.

Comedy was a defense mechanism, which later turned into a passion. However, now that Daniel is where he is, he feels grateful, as, according to him, his childhood bullies text him on Facebook, asking for autographs. The stand-up comedian further said:

“Anyone reading this who never had the chubby boy nightmare of being called fat can probably still sympathize: we all have been called fat or something equally horrible. It feels like that. I have been told that as a person in the public eye, being called names is what I signed up for.”
