Daniel Jones is already back on the field.

Less than six months after undergoing surgery for a torn Achilles, the Colts quarterback worked out during Indianapolis’ OTAs on Wednesday.

Social media was flooded with clips of doing footwork drills and even dropping back to heave a deep pass down the practice field.

Jones, who turned 29 on Wednesday, went down with the non-contact injury during Week 14 against the Jaguars.

He was initially expected to miss six to eight months, a timeline that threatened his availability for training camp and the start of the regular season.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported in March that Jones was “expected to be ready for the start of the regular season,” with a source telling him that he “absolutely” expected him to be ready for training camp.

Jones, a first-round pick by the Giants in 2019, revitalized his NFL career in Indianapolis last season after being cut by Big Blue near the end of the 2024 season.

Before going down with the Achilles tear, Jones threw for 3,101 yards in 13 games, with 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions last season.

At the time of the injury, Jones was playing through a fractured fibula that plagued him during the two previous games.

Indianapolis got off to a surprising 8-2 start with Jones behind center, but struggled down the stretch, losing its final seven games to fall short of the postseason.

Despite the injury, the Colts signed Jones to a two-year, $88 million contract this offseason that could be worth as much as $100 million if incentives are hit.

Jones signed a one-year, $14 million deal with the Colts in free agency last offseason after spending time in Minnesota and backing up Sam Darnold late in the 2024 season.
