After the franchise concluded with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part Two in 2011, Daniel might have been excused for resting on his laurels. Instead, he’s tackled a diverse range of roles across theatre and film, securing a Tony Award in 2024 for the musical Merrily We Roll Along.
His latest venture saw him take to Broadway in the solo production Every Brilliant Thing, earning him a second Tony nod.
Remaining hugely popular among fans, a recent Instagram clip shows Daniel wearing a black t-shirt and grey jeans, cheerfully signing autographs and taking selfies. However, something else entirely captured viewers’ attention, reports the Express.
The footage was posted by Alona, who goes by girlfromjerseycity on social media, boasting 758,000 Instagram followers and frequently sharing celebrity material. Text overlaid on the video stated: “Daniel Radcliffe is cool and all… but can we discuss the bodyguard?” Alona commented: “At this point, the bodyguard has his own fanbase.”
The bodyguard, dressed in a dark blue t-shirt, jeans and sunglasses, can be seen monitoring Daniel closely while signalling to admirers when it’s their moment to meet him. His chiselled features and muscular arms left fans utterly captivated.
One commented: “Is the bodyguard single? Asking for a friend.” Another posted: “Hey Daniel, can you take a pic of me and your bodyguard. Thanks man.”
Someone else responded: “Amazing how you have a famous Hollywood star, but all we see is his hulking, beautiful bodyguard.”
Some likened him to True Blood heartthrob Alexander Skarsgård, while others praised his skill at handling Daniel’s crowds of admirers.

In a conversation with the Mirror earlier this year, he said: “She has been a huge part of my happiness – and having a child. There is something about being truly known and understood by another human being. That is why love exists. You can’t emphasise how wonderful that is.”
He also revealed that, while he remains thankful for the fame and fortune the Harry Potter franchise delivered, he struggles to watch the films back. “I guess I have more time now for me in the early films,” he said.
“When I was 18 I would cringe watching the early ones. Now I think the early films are sweet and I cringe watching myself when I was 18.”
