With eight weeks of the NFL season now behind us, Dave Portnoy has shared his current quarterback rankings.
A number of teams are starting to emerge as the more dominant sides in the league, with the likes of the Buffalo Bills and the San Francisco 49ers only losing one game so far this season.

However, while players such as Josh Allen and Brock Purdy feature on Portnoy’s list, they are not the number one quarterback in the league in his eyes.
Allen placed third in the list, while Purdy is sixth and Drake Maye of the New England Patriots instead takes the number one spot.
Portnoy shared his top 10 ranking via X/Twitter with Maye first, Caleb Williams second, Allen third, Patrick Mahomes fourth, Joe Burrow fifth, Purdy sixth, Trevor Lawrence seventh, Jordan Love eighth, Matthew Stafford ninth and Jayden Daniels tenth.
Clarifying his rankings, Portnoy explained: “This is not a lifetime achievement award. If the Super Bowl was tomorrow, who do you want as your starting QB.”

Perhaps the most notable omission from the list was Jared Goff, with a number of fans bringing him up in the comments section.
One wrote: “Goff not on the list is insane,” while a second echoed: “Jayden Daniels over Jared Goff is wild.”
Another stated: “Goff leads virtually every category right now and the last 3 years.”
