David Beckham ended his 51st birthday by penning a heartfelt message to his family, after being snubbed by eldest son Brooklyn on his big day.

David Beckham declared that he was “very lucky and blessed” to be surrounded by so much love from his family and friends on his birthday, despite being snubbed by son Brooklyn.

The former Manchester United footballer turned 51 on Saturday, with his loved ones flooding social media with tributes, sweet messages and a very sexy picture from his wife, Victoria Beckham.

Taking to Instagram, he shared a snap of himself blowing out his candles, alongside a similar upload from childhood, while thanking his “beautiful family” for spoiling him.

“I feel very lucky & blessed to have had a very special day today being spoilt by my wife, kids, family and friends from the moment I opened my eyes till now and I just want to say thank you and I love you all so much,” he wrote. “@victoriabeckham & my beautiful family thank you.”

In between pints of Stella from his very own pump, the dad-of-four revealed that they had also gifted him six new members of the family in the form of adorable new animals for his beloved garden. Proudly sharing his gift with the camera, he added: “I got six new chickens.”

However, it was a bittersweet celebration for David as he was shunned by his eldest son, who was noticeably silent on social media all day while his siblings shared loving posts.

Tensions erupted between the formerly tight-knit family in January following Brooklyn’s explosive statement, in which he called out his parents for “controlling narratives” in the media.

Rumours had been swirling over a feud for months before the budding chef publicly branded his loved ones “performative”, and slammed the “inauthentic relationships” that became “a fixture of the life I was born into”.

“Since the moment I started standing up for myself with my family, I’ve received endless attacks from my parents, both privately and publicly, that were sent to the press on their orders,” he spat in a lengthy message on Instagram.

“Even my brothers were sent to attack me on social media, before they ultimately blocked me out of nowhere this last summer.”

Although their relationship is currently fractured, an insider has insisted that David and Victoria will “never give up hope” for a reconciliation with Brooklyn – who married Nicola Peltz in 2022.

The source added to Page Six that they are ‘saddened’ that the feud has dragged on for so long, and were previously hopeful that they could patch things up before the World Cup this summer.
