Brooklyn Beckham’s fans appeared to rally behind the son of David and Victoria Beckham after spotting something telling in the Beckham family’s Walk of Fame photographs.
On Friday, June 12, footage showed Victoria, 52, and David Beckham, 51, posing before his freshly unveiled Hollywood Walk of Fame star in Hollywood, California, alongside their sons Romeo, 23, and Cruz Beckham, 21. The family dutifully complied with numerous photographers’ directions about positioning and movement for the cameras.
Soon after the clip appeared on X, previously Twitter, Brooklyn’s supporters confessed that viewing the footage of the Beckham family’s response to photographers at David’s Walk of Fame ceremony was eye-opening.
“Watching them go along with the instruction from the photographers makes you realize Brooklyn had a point,” one X user wrote. Another commented, “I think the world is team Brooklyn tbf.” A third chimed in, “Oh they’ve just grown up with this and can understand simple instructions of look left and look right FFS.”, reports the Mirror US.
Someone else posted, “What a disgrace, what an absolute embarrassment. Having to put up with s—t like this for a significant part of your life when growing up. Jeez no wonder the kids traumatized. What a really tragic way to live your life. and fame is not worth destroying your family for.”
David was awarded his Hollywood Walk of Fame star on June 12, attracting numerous celebrities, including actor Tom Cruise, 63, who received his star in 1986. Tom appeared as a guest speaker at the event, highlighting David’s groundbreaking football career and acknowledging him as one of the most accomplished players of his generation.
Following Tom’s remarks, David’s wife, Victoria, delivered her speech, quipping that she’d assumed receiving her star for her part in the “iconic cult classic” Spice World: The Movie.
Brooklyn was notably absent from his father’s recent achievement, likely due to an ongoing family rift. Earlier this year, the 27-year-old photographer alleged that his parents attempted to “ruin” his marriage to Nicola Peltz, 31.
“I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed,” he stated in an Instagram post.
He further declared in his message, “For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into. Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.”
