“Her oncologist called me Friday during our HS football game. He left a voicemail that said this, Um, the results came back stunning. Like, no tumor. I mean, it’s, it’s, we don’t completely understand it. But give me a call, and I’ll explain what we think may be going on and tell you how we resume. He doesn’t understand, but we do… God and Prayer!!!. Thank you for faithfully praying! What a god!”

David recalled that the doctor admitted that the medical team did not fully understand what had happened. So, they wanted to discuss the possible explanations and the next steps in Lindsey’s care. So, he hoped the news would encourage others facing similar battles. Lindsey had also shared her own update on Instagram on October 17, 2026, and explained that doctors had repeatedly sent the results for testing due to the unexpected situation.

For those who don’t know, Lindsey underwent her third brain surgery, a biopsy at Duke University on September 23, 2026. The procedure was done after doctors raised concerns about a possible recurrence or change that needed investigation. According to Lindsey, her doctors kept reviewing the samples because the tumor they expected to find was absent from the tissue. Although the news is encouraging, they are still looking for explanations.

Meanwhile, Lindsey and David have publicly credited their faith and the support of their community for help. Lindsey revealed that she not only got the answer to her prayers, but the outcome made the wait feel more meaningful. For now, she is doing well, and David has regular shared updates about her health.

Lindsey was diagnosed with Stage 4 glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, in March 2025. She received the diagnosis after she was experiencing persistent ear pain, prompting her to seek medical help. In turn, she underwent an emergency surgery at Duke University Hospital to remove the tumor.

The recovery was anything but easy after she experienced severe fatigue, low blood pressure, and weakness on the left side of the body. Alongside this, she underwent physical therapy, chemotherapy, and radiation.
